Can We Help Your Team?

The role of nutrition in our every day health is finally starting to be fully understood. 90% of all the nutrition research that has ever been done has happened in the last decade, so this really is a leading edge science.

One of the clearest links to emerge from this research is how what we eat affects the way we feel and the way we function. This is so important in maintaining an effective workforce. People who skip breakfast and live on caffeine will experience highs and lows in their blood sugar which can cause one or more of the following symptoms:

  • Fatigue
  • Headaches
  • Mood swings
  • Stomach bloating

Most of our patients are professionals in their 20s, 30s and 40s. In a recent survey of 500 patients, we found that 71% are living with sub-clinical conditions like food intolerances or irritable bowel syndrome. Roughly half are deficient in essential vitamins and minerals. Many acknowledge that their symptoms are having an impact on their performance at work.

We work with large and small organisations on projects to improve the nutritional health of their staff and members. Here are three examples of projects we are currently working on:

1. A Wellbeing Day for the 3500 staff at the City headquarters of the 11th largest bank in Europe. We are presenting on ways to maximise energy while minimising stress, and screening their staff to assess toxicity levels and vitamin shortfalls.

2. An employee fitness challenge for the 500 employees at the European HQ of a major US commercial TV channel. We are providing a series of presentations on nutrition for optimum fitness and one-to-one consultations to all participating employees.

3. A series of presentations to members of fitness clubs run by a major charity. Topics include how busy parents can ensure that their kids are eating healthily, and how mum and dad can use food to lower rather than exacerbate their own stress levels.
