How Do We Treat Your Allergies?
Our Allergy Clinic Brings The Highly Successful NAET Approach to the UKThe philosophy of our allergy clinic is to offer a personalised approach to the diagnosis and treatment of allergies. An allergy is defined as follows:
‘An adverse physical, physiological, and/or psychological response of an individual towards one or more substances.’ We are using Dr Nambudripad's proven NAET protocols to evaluate and treat allergy-related conditions. These have been successfully used with thousands of patients in the US and we are now making them available in the UK. Uniquely, National Nutrition Clinic combines the NAET protocols with Asyra AT3 electro-dermal allergy screening technology to provide a comprehensive approach for the benefit of our patients. Once you have been screened, prior to starting your Allergy Elimination programme you will be asked to complete a health check questionnaire asking you to identify major symptoms and a list of suspected causes for your allergies. If you have concerns about certain allergens (ie foods, environmental substances) please bring them along to the consultation. For elderly, infants or disabled a surrogate may be used to carry out testing and treatment. The consultation involves a personal medical history discussion and a physical examination. The NAET protocol tests for deficiencies in basic nutrients through muscle response testing (MRT). This will identify potential allergens and the body’s reaction to the substance. The testing is based on applied kinesiology (AK) methods that associates muscles and blocked organ meridian pathways with basic nutrients (ie proteins, vitamins, minerals, enzymes etc) as an indication of disturbances in the body. ‘According to our experience, NAET is one of the most effective allergy elimination techniques. It is painless, non-invasive, quick, and effective and gives permanent results. NAET can help not only to eliminate the body’s hypersensitive overreaction to different substances, but also increases the effectiveness of conventional therapy for patients who suffer from acute and chronic illnesses.’ Food Groups
NAET testing includes basic nutrients and components of food (ie proteins, vitamins, minerals, sugars, amino acids etc). This is supported by a comprehensive ASYRA screening. Non-Food Groups
Most common environmental allergens (eg pollens, moulds, house dust/dust mites, household chemicals, perfumes, radiation etc) are also included in the initial screening. Specific Allergens
If there is anything you would like to have tested such as cosmetics, supplements, household products etc. please bring a small sample in a glass jar. You will receive a printed profile of identified sensitivities from the ASYRA system. When all the tests are completed you will be given treatment advice, a treatment plan and our Allergy Patient Guide. You then move into the next stage, yoru Allergy Elimination Programme.
What Happens In Your NAET Allergy Elimination Programme?Allergy elimination aims to identify the allergens that are causing your symptoms and then desensitize the offending allergen(s) in your body’s response to the substance. NAET treatment makes the allergen more tolerant by resetting neurological pathways so your body recognises the substance as beneficial rather than harmful. The treatment of a specific allergen involves application of acupressure to acupoints while you hold the substance in a glass vial. During treatment you remain fully clothed lying prone on a couch. At best the goal would be to totally clear the hypersensitivities so you become symptom free or, at minimum, to reduce the intensity of an allergic reaction. Each allergen, or group, is treated separately to ensure your body can respond to treatment without any adverse reaction. In extreme sensitive cases, more than one session may be required to address a single allergen. After treatment, a short rest period (20 mins) follows where you keep contact with the allergen to test your body’s response. The allergen will be retested to establish that the treatment has 'held'. The treated substance is strictly avoided for 25 hours following the treatment session. At your next follow up session the substance is re-tested to confirm it is 'in the clear' and passed the test. At this point, you can start reintroducing the item under supervision of the your NAET practitioner. For more information on NAET please visit www.naet.co.uk
Case Study 1 - Suma George“When I first applied to join the National Nutrition Clinic’s allergy programme I was experiencing all sorts of problems. I have suffered from asthma since my 20s. I then developed severe sinusitis with a constant runny nose, watery eyes, heavy mucus and breathing difficulties. I was regularly using an inhaler for my asthma, but still suffered from shortness of breath, wheezing and coughing. I had been treated using the NAET technique in India and my condition stabilised for several years, but when I got married and moved to England my symptoms returned in quite a severe way. I was so pleased to find that National Nutrition Clinic have brought the NAET technique to the UK, and couldn’t wait for my first appointment. The first thing Yee Liu did was to screen me to find out the complete list of allergens that were affecting me. This was quick and painless – I just held a metal cylinder in each hand for a few minutes then the results appeared automatically on the screen. The results showed that I was allergic to mould, dampness and dust, as well as grasses and pollens. When Yee Liu did the manual NAET tests she also found that I was even allergic to the carpet in my flat! Yee Liu started the treatment programme by addressing my mould, dampness and dust allergies. While I held a vial in my hand, she gently manipulated my back for a few minutes. I then had to lie on the couch holding the vial for 20 minutes. Yee Liu then tested the strength of my muscle response to the dust allergen and it was much stronger than before. After the first treatment I noticed a big improvement with my running nose and mucus virtually gone. I have now had five treatments and feel so much better that I have hardly needed to use my inhaler! I am so pleased I discovered National Nutrition Clinic. If you suffer from allergies I would recommend you give them a call about their Allergy Clinic. It’s painless and quick, and they are very nice and helpful people” Suma George, Hounslow, MiddlesexCase Study 2 - Ms Leo Duff"Since the start of my allergy screening and the subsequent elimination programme only four appointments into the treatment, I am starting to see results. For the first time in years I can eat cheese in moderation any time and no longer avoid eating breakfast, I can have a croissant each day. Both of these previously resulted in my needing to go to the loo almost immediately. The most important change has been to my confidence. I feel more in control, and less afraid about eating the wrong thing. If you think you may be suffering from intolerances or allergies call National Nutrition Clinic and book a session with Yee Liu. I have been so impressed with her helpful, practical attitude. I really feel that, after years of struggle, I am finally moving forward" Ms Leo Duff, KingstonThe NAET Basics
A basic series of treatments is initially performed to ensure your body’s immune system is strong enough to receive treatment for specific allergens. This consists of an initial series of 5 sessions where you follow NAET protocols as identified in our Allergy Guide Book. If you are allergic or sensitive to an essential nutrient, your body will not assimilate or utilize it efficiently and will show up as deficient in that nutrient. You are asked to keep a symptoms record to monitor progress after testing of each allergen. The basics consist of the important food groups and every patient is tested for them. It is important to treat any of these basics identified during testing to ensure you are absorbing essential nutrients for maintaining health and a strong immune system. If your immune system is strong the treatment process is likely to be more effective with fewer sessions. NAET Basic Tests
